Biography

Emmy Pérez is the author of Solstice (Swan Scythe Press). She has received poetry fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Her work has appeared in various publications, including The Wind Shifts: New Latino Poetry. She is an assistant professor at the University of Texas-Pan American and also teaches creative writing in detention centers.
