Robert Vasquez
Robert Vasquez is a Chicano poet and writer. Raised in California’s Central Valley, Vasquez earned an MFA from the University of California, Irvine and was a Stegner fellow at Stanford University. He has received awards from the Academy of American Poets, the National Society of Arts & Letters, the National Writers' Union, and the San Francisco Foundation. His first book of poems, At the Rainbow was published in 1995. He has since released the chapbook, Braille for the Heart (2007). Vasquez teaches at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California.
