If this &quot;essay&quot; becomes part of a larger project, you may want to examine your discussion of silence within the context of place/culture. I&#039;m thinking of how often in Jamaican literary circles (based on my observations)&quot;floundering&quot; is considered a huge sin and silence is often praised because of the view that a &quot;good poet&quot; cannot be a prolific writer.
