I can't say I've written a single poem about either birth, but nothing has influenced my politics or poetics more. I love the fact that you are hesitant to call yourself a "poet", instead embracing the "soccer mom" side of you, all the while remaining a "poet." It reminds me of Duchamp's silence, when he "quit" being an "artist," instead preferring to be a "breather" or a "chess player", of course all the while making art.
