I think she's been instrumental in the Southwest with getting young people interested in reading books. She wrote a very generous blurb for my first book, but unfortunately I was never informed about this until the book was already published. I would like to thank her for that some day. She writes of the resiliance of people in the area and think Mora has a sensitivity and understanding of issues of poverty and struggle that informs her work.
