But because writing and reading can be lonely, we desperately need these public forums to reach out to one another. Even if all we're doing is sending up a flare..saying, "Hey, I'm over here! Working on some stuff that I hope some day might turn into something worth reading. Don't forget about me while I'm at the bottom of the well." We all need these lifelines, ropes to reality..either behind the computer screen or not. Ah yes. So much time ingesting information in one form or another and here we are, swapping spit on a blog. Not that my comment is meant to be contentious, but it may be a little silly to be debating the solitude of reading within the medium of mass-consumption.
