(Brooks, my son, who lives in Chicago, got to spend some quality time with him the following day ("One of the nicest and scary-smart poets I've ever met," is how he put it). Great interview, and thanks to Alan and Vivek for it. I second Don's comment on Universal Beach. And suggest, for what it's worth, that Vivek be invited, sooner than later, to blog on Harriet. A wonderful opportunity to learn more about the poetry of India (though Vivek might also have some insights to offer us about our own!) and to begin more actively connecting U.S. and Indian poets...
