Poetry Tweets

O Swallow, Swallow, if I could follow, and light
Upon her lattice, I would pipe and trill,
And cheep and twitter twenty million loves.
     —Lord Alfred Tennyson

Every morning I tweet bits from Poetry to 865 loves. Our trills are here. The posts are mostly unrequited, but sometimes we get a little love back. When we do, we invariably wonder what other Poetry tweets are out there, cheeping. See for yourself:

  1. Perhaps there will be a resurgence of poetry written for children as well as by them, that would be a pretty song.

  2. What is a tweet and/or a trill? Why do I feel incredibly behind the times?

  3. Tweeting poetry, or lines from a poem, or just poetic lines in general, kinda teaches you about conservation, brevity, lots o’ things. Or if you’re tired of learning, its a nice distraction. Fun way to make someone who talks a lot into a person of few words….. or turn a mr/mrs talk a lot into an obsessive tweeter. Either or.
No idea what a trill is. Is that an abbreviation for a trillion dollar bill? The new name for a tip drill?
    Dunno. It sounds dirty.
