I cross from Missouri to Arkansas
on Fridays to shop in town, tra la.
With turtles and vultures and crows, caw-caw,
I cross from Missouri to Arkansas.
The sound of these states is stuck in my craw.
I’m stuck in the states of blah and blah.
I cross from Missouri to Arkansas
on Fridays to shop in town, tra la.

Mary that's a very honest and open poem. Though I love these cities I don't think it matters very much at all where you are. Where are you?

Yes, she still has that upstate farm. Sells Christmas trees there every year. A friend of mine thought to rent her guest house last summer but decided against it. Another friend saw Millett a few years back in a nearby diner. It was in the middle of the night, and she was ranting and raving, making a scene, about what no one knew. People speculated she was drunk or off her meds. (You know what they say about hometowns and heroes.) I'm glad to hear she spoke well and was well received.

SITA! Oh my god. I haven't thought about that book in a million years. We should do a book called La Sita Nuovo, like Dante, but different.

I wonder if Kate still has that farm upstate.
