Barbara Jane Reyes. Immediately upthread a poster has thanked you for this series of introductions you've committed yourself to. It is something I've wanted to say for the last two blog entries of yours. On your own blog I read an entry you made in the middle of summer about, what I think you called, the poetry industrial complex and about insiders in and outsiders to the complex. So I think I get what you are after. Other voices, other rooms, as Truman Capote said.

Ditto the thanks for introducing me to this poet. It always feels like a tragic blessing when an artist's transition becomes the occasion of my learning about him or her. That kind of thing just happened to me a few months ago, when the passing of German choreographer Pina Bausch brought her onto my radar (via another poet, Yvette Christianse). It just reinforces my sense of not having enough hours in my life to enjoy all of the fabulous work being created -- let alone enough time to create all the work that's in my head . . .

Thanks for the whole series of reviews you're doing, Barbara Jane.
