Poet quoted by Herman Cain in recent debate turns out to be Pokemon

Have you been following the Herman Cain campaign? It’s still going, despite the fact that a fourth fifth woman has now raised allegations of sexual harassment. (Slate has a good article about why these charges don’t matter so much to conservative defenders–because sexual harassment, “like racism, used to exist but is now over.”)

We’d also like to point you to another development: Rachel Maddow has identified the poet who Cain quoted in a recent debate as having once said, “[L]ife can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it’s never easy when there’s so much on the line. We have a lot on the line.”
