Get Ready for “Letras Latinas Presents”!
Holy events, Batman! Check this out from the Letras Latinas blog:
In recent professional e-correspondence, I was referring to the roster of events below as a “season.” That’s a mistake. It sounds nice, but it’s inaccurate. A “season” suggests a cohesive, coherent thought-out whole. Rather, what’s presented here is what it’s called: “Letras Latinas Presents” events are—and this I never tire of underscoring—one-off partnerships with literary allies around the country— with the exception of “Latino/a Poetry Now” which is a multi-year “season” of sorts, as well as a partnership. So…a “Letras Latinas Presents” event is likely part of another organization’s season such as, for example, the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. In any event, we’re grateful for these opportunities and collaborations. Enough said. Without further delay:
What follows after that colon is a range of readings and events so great and geographically spread out that you really should just click right here and go see for yourself!
