Take a Bookbinding Class at Flying Object
Always wanted to learn how to make books? Well, head out to Flying Object in October and learn how!

DIY Bookbinding for Beginners with Jean Potter
October 11th, 18th, & 25th from 6-8pm
$75.00 (includes materials)In this class we will explore a handful of bindings that can easily be reproduced at home with a few simple tools and easy to find materials. We will also learn techniques that work well with recycled and found materials.
The class is appropriate for beginners and those with some binding experience. Students will complete one or two handmade books each week. All materials will be provided and tools used can be purchased at cost at the end of the workshop.
$75 includes materials fee

Jean Potter is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in Printmedia and Bookbinding. Before moving to Western Massachusetts, she spent six years in the mountains of North Carolina, where she continued her study of the art and craft of bookbinding and founded Rockpile Bindery.
