In Memoriam: Lucille Clifton 1936-2010 February 15, 2010: The Baltimore Sun reports that poet Lucille Clifton died over the weekend at the age of 73. She will be deeply missed. In addition to being awarded the Ruth Lilly Prize by the Poetry Foundation in 2007, Clifton was a National Book Award winner and was twice nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
