I had to do a double-take when I saw the asterisk by Carolyn Forché’s name, indicating “Travel Papers” [February 2011] to be her first publication in Poetry. I thought it had to have been a mistake. The poem is a lyrical powerhouse and true testament to why she is one of the great voices of our age. Congratulations on landing her and thanks for publishing this very fine poem!
