All experience levels are welcome to a monthly book group moderated by library staff. In 2013, the library will ask individuals from varied backgrounds to select a title that has been meaningful to them. Space is limited to 15 participants. Please register in advance by emailing library@poetryfoundation.org.
February’s curator, artist Alex Katz, selected John Godfrey’s Singles and Fives, about which he writes:
"It has great rhythms and surprising non-linear images."
Since 1951, Alex Katz's work has been the subject of more than 200 solo exhibitions and nearly 500 group exhibitions internationally, and his works can be found in over 100 public collections worldwide. In 2007, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy Museum, New York. Katz has selected the club's book this month, but he will not be present for our discussion.
