DESCRIPTION:Born in the&nbsp;German-speaking town Nitzkydorf in Banat, Romania in 1953, Nobel Laureate&nbsp;Herta M&uuml;ller has written about exile, violence, and politics, and is known for her criticism of Romania&rsquo;s oppressive regime under&nbsp;Nicolae Ceauşescu. When awarding her the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2009, the Swedish Academy described M&uuml;ller as a woman &ldquo;who, with the concentration of poetry and the frankness of prose, depicts the landscape of the dispossessed.&rdquo; The celebrated writer will read collage poetry and from her novel The Hunger Angel (Atemshaukel) in her native German accompanied by English translation.
