Peace In Chicago: An Intergenerational Celebration


Enjoy a festive concert with new art music, poetry, and hip hop to celebrate Fulcrum Point’s 20th anniversary. The concert will feature two keynote poets, CM Burroughs and Ed Roberson.

CM Burroughs is an assistant professor of poetry at Columbia College Chicago, and she serves as senior editor for Tupelo Quarterly and coeditor for Court Green. She has received commissions from the Studio Museum of Harlem and the Warhol Museum. A Pushcart Prize nominee and a finalist for the 2009 Gift of Freedom Award, her poetry has appeared in journals including Callaloo, jubilat, Ploughshares, VOLT, Bat City Review, and Volta.

Ed Roberson is the author of numerous books of poetry, including To See the Earth Before the End of the World, The New Wing of the Labyrinth, and City Eclogue. His honors include the 2016 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, the Lila Wallace Writers’ Award, the Poetry Society of America’s Shelley Award, and the 2016 PEN/Voelcker Award for Poetry. His work has been included in Best American Poetry.
