Issues 1 & 2 of The Blindman at Excursus Archive

By Harriet Staff

We don't have a good excuse for why it's taken us so long to learn about the Excursus Archive. True, much of this archival material is more art than poetry-related, but they've recently added issues 1 and 2 of The Blind Man, the magazine edited by Marcel Duchamp and Henri-Pierre Roché. The inaugural issue appeared on April 10, 1917 and included work by Mina Loy.

In 2008, Sarah Crowner scanned, printed and republished the first two issues of the magazine in an edition of 2000. According to the Excursus website, "each issue was sold for the original cover price (10 and 15 Cents) and produced in an edition of 2,000."

You can download PDFs of both issues from the Archive!
