NYU Local lists its favorite “weird tweets” by NYU creative writing professors and wouldn’t you know it: A few of our faves are Harriet regulars.

Yes, “The Weirdest Tweets from NYU Creative Writing Professors” list includes tweets from poets, Eileen Myles, Sharon Olds, Dorothea Lasky and Charles Simic.

Their cyber thought-bubbles range from the anecdotal to the revelatory. Charles Simic (@CharlieSimic) writes, “twisted my ankle this morning.” Meanwhile, Sharon Olds (@Old_Sharon) exclaims, “HOW do they do it?! How can people have sex without love??” and later… “my poetry inspired 50 Shades of Grey… #yourwelcome” [hi-five!]. Dottie Lasky (@DorotheaLasky) writes, “I see all empty space in crowds as what I can run thru” and Eileen Myles (@EileenMyles) tweets, “I love chugging coffee. It’s so fucked up.”

Scope all this out and more here. Better yet: follow those Twitter handles!
