Theo LeGro

Theo LeGro was a queer Vietnamese-American poet and both a Kundiman Mentorship Lab Fellow and Kundiman Retreat Fellow. Their debut, Don’t Let It Kill You, was the winner of the 2025 Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize in Poetry from Persea Books. Their work appeared in Blood Orange Review, Brooklyn Poets, diode poetry journal, Honey Literary, Plume, The Offing, Raleigh Review, and other publications. They lived in Brooklyn and died on March 6, 2026 from breast cancer.
