Join Poetry contributor Jenny Zhang for an afternoon reading and a conversation with Poetry editor Lindsay Garbutt at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn. DJ Justine D., "one of the best female DJ’s working in New York City" to follow. Also on hand, Poetry subscription specials and tote bags.
Come early to grab a seat, order brunch or beverages, and browse through copies of Poetry. Doors open at 1:00 PM.

Jenny Zhang is the author of Hags (Guillotine, 2014) and Dear Jenny, We Are All Find (Octopus Books, 2012). She is a regular contributor to Rookie, and her fiction, nonfiction and poetry have been published or are forthcoming in Poetry, Fence, Glimmertrain, Pen American, Jezebel, The Guardian and Vice, among other venues. She recently won Poetry magazine's Editors Prize for Feature Article for her essay “How It Feels” in the July/August 2015 issue.

    This exhibition presents photographs and ephemera from the poet Jun Fujita (1888-1963). Fujita is an English-language tanka poet who published regularly in Poetry during the 1920s. The first Japanese-American photojournalist, he is responsible for the most famous photos of the Eastland disaster, the Chicago race riots of 1919, and the St. Valentine’s Day massacre, among others. This show will explore his lesser-known landscapes.
