Jahan Ramazani
Jahan Ramazani is Edgar F. Shannon Professor of English and Department Chair at the University of Virginia. He is the author of The Hybrid Muse: Postcolonial Poetry in English; Poetry of Mourning: The Modern Elegy from Hardy to Heaney, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award; and Yeats and the Poetry of Death. He edited the most recent edition of The Norton Anthology of Modern and Contemporary Poetry and, with Jon Stallworthy, The Twentieth Century and After, in The Norton Anthology of English Literature. He is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, an NEH Fellowship, a Rhodes Scholarship, and the William Riley Parker Prize.
