Poetry has quite made the e-book leap, and SPD remains our hub for all things small-press, but the distribution of e-books just got easier (or at least more centralized, since you could always just post your book free to a blog or something):

BookBaby, a new service from Portland based CDBaby, provides indie authors, poets, and publishers a one-stop shop for distributing their eBooks to all of the major digital retailers, including the Apple iBookstore, Barnes & Noble.com, Sony’s Reader Store, and Amazon.com. As part of this service, BookBaby will also convert your book to the necessary ePUB format free of charge.

But the sign-up fee, $99 per book, basically precludes any profit on poetry books anyway—you’d have to sell like 10 of them!
