HOWL to benefit The David Lynch Transcendental Meditation Foundation

If you live in Los Angeles, we hope that you'll howl. Yes yes you heard that right. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Allen Ginsberg's poem, "Howl," rockers Courtney Love, Devendra Banhart, Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew and more, will come together for a benefit concert on April 7th at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles: all to benefit The David Lynch Foundation. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Allen Ginsberg's classic poem "Howl". To commemorate the occasion, famed producer Hal Willner has announced a benefit concert featuring several noteworthy performers, actors, and comedians: Courtney Love, Devendra Banhart, Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew, Van Dyke Parks, Andy Kim, Will Forte, John Mulaney, Tim Robbins, Amy Poehler, Lucinda Williams, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, and more. It takes place April 7 at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

The flyer (above) also mentions "surprise special guests". Proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, which seeks to help at-risk individuals who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder through the education and application of Transcendental Meditation techniques. [...]
