The Open Door Readings: Duriel E. Harris & Valerie Wallace

The Open Door Reading series presents work from Chicago’s new and emerging poets and highlights the area’s outstanding writing programs. Each monthly hour-long event features readings by two Chicagoland writing program instructors and two of their current or recent students. May's Open Door Reading presents Illinois State University's Duriel E. Harris and her student Sanam Shamiri, and Newberry Library's Valerie Wallace and her student Teresa Dzieglewicz.

The Library & Gallery are open to the public until 7:00 PM.
