Celebrate National Poetry Month with a family-friendly open house at the Poetry Foundation. This annual free event for youth and their caregivers features a reading by Joyce Sidman, animal odes with the Field Museum, a poetry scavenger hunt, fun crafts, writing activities, and refreshments. Sidman's published work includes The Girl Who Drew Butterflies and Dark Emperor and Other Poems of the Night, a Newbery Honor Book. Please note, this event is open only to children and their accompanying caregivers.
