Browne, author of Black Girl Magic and artistic director of Urban Word NYC, and a roster of artists and community organizers for workshops, discussions, and a reading in resistance of the machine of incarceration in the US prison system. The day includes exhibitors Young Chicago Authors, the Prison + Neighborhood Art Project, Haymarket Books, and the Arts for Social Justice Fund.
