Join us for a reading with former US poet laureate Billy Collins. He has published 12 collections of poetry, including The Rain in Portugal, Aimless Love, Horoscopes for the Dead, Ballistics, and The Trouble with Poetry and Other Poems. His awards include an Aiken Taylor Award for Modern American Poetry, a Hall-Kenyon Prize in American Poetry, and a Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award. He is the recipient of an Oscar Blumenthal Prize, a Bess Hokin Prize, a Frederick Bock Prize, and a Levinson Prize—all awarded by Poetry magazine—as well as the Poetry Foundation’s inaugural Mark Twain Poetry Award, recognizing a poet’s contribution to humor in American poetry.
