To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the relationship between Chicago and Paris, the Chicago Sister Cities Paris Committee invites Chicago Slam Works to showcase the work of Collective 129H, poets/performers Rouda, Neobled, and Lyor. Together with Marc Smith, founder of the poetry slam, and Chicago Slam Works poets, they create a dynamic interpretive performance which can be easily understood, in real time, by both French and English speakers.

For fourteen years, Collective 129H has hosted hundreds of poetry slams in France. Since 2014, the team can be found in Paris at the Stage of the Canal-Jemmapes where they host a monthly poetry slam. They have performed in Mali, New Caledonia, Egypt, Congo, and Morocco. From 2011 to 2013, 129H also led a daily chronicle of current events for Mouv' Radio. Musical, offbeat, cheeky, and relevant, about 250 works have been aired on Radio France.
