Etel Adnan Reads from The Arab Apocalypse at London's Serpentine Gallery
In the fall, The Serpentine Gallery in London had Lebanese-American poet, essayist and visual artist, Etel Adnan out for a reading (she also taught a master class). Making our day, video evidence of the reading has now been posted by Serpentine--they've also got several other incredible things to watch on their Vimeo site, including an interview and movement with Marina Abramović, conversations with the gallery's co-director Hans Ulrich Obrist, and much more.
Obrist has discussed his excitement about Adnan before, saying, "Etel Adnan is in her mid 80s and she is one of my heroes. She is one of the great poets of her time and also a wonderful visual artist."
Watch Adnan read from The Arab Apocalypse below, and read more about the book here.
