Dede Cummings has published six nonfiction titles and two books of poetry, including To Look Out From (Homebound Publications, 2017) and The Meeting Place (2020). Her poems have been included in the anthologies Roads Taken: Contemporary Vermont Poetry (Green Writers Press, 2017), edited by Chard deNiord and Sydney Lea; and Healing the Divide: Poems of Kindness & Connection, edited by James Crews. Her work has also been published by Connotation Press, Bloodroot, Green Mountains Review, and Mom Egg Review, among others. Cummings was a poetry contributor at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in 2013 and was awarded a writer’s grant and fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center in 2016.

Cummings earned her BA in English from Middlebury College, where she received the Mary Dunning Thwing Award for Poetry. She lives in Vermont, designs books, and runs Green Writers Press.
