Remember when we helped raise funds for writer Lonely Christopher's new film MOM? Well, it did the trick (at least part of the trick). The author of The Mechanics of Homosexual Intercourse worked on the script for two years, and then joined up with Cavazos Films to begin development. He's also directing. More exciting news is that the film is now fully cast! And among cast members is Belladonna founder and poet Rachel Levitsky! (That's LC and Levitsky up top, with Dale Peck.) Reminds us of the time Lisa Jarnot appeared in The Time We Killed by Jennifer Reeves, though we suspect the movies are quite different...LC has also got James Hannaham (author of the novel God Says No), cult icon Mink Stole (Pink Flamingos, Serial Mom), and Janet Hubert from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

MOM goes into production in early November. The full cast list is as follows:

Joe Huffman as Try

Jakob Abrams as Arden

Mink Stole as Woodrow

Alejandra Bufalá as Petal

Melinda Prisco as Carmen

Janet Hubert as Judy Curtains

James Hannaham as Andy

Rachel Levitsky as Rachel

Jose Cavazos as Male Bruncher

Elena Echevarria as Female Bruncher

Simon Vargas Acosta as Bambi

Karl Glusman as Gray

We're looking forward to it.
