Originally Published: July 17, 2012

A few weeks ago, we pointed out a British exhibition in which dancers, musicians, and poets celebrate the 16th-century Italian painter Titian. Today, Granta posted a series of poems from Metamorphosis by Jo Shapcott, George Szirtes, Simon Armitage, Carol Ann Duffy, Lavinia Greenlaw, Seamus Heaney and Don Paterson. All poems are accompanied by details of the paintings that inspired the work. Read the poems here.
