Exciting news in the world of poetry in Seattle — check out A Poet at Your Table, a new program sponsored by Seattle Arts and Lectures, designed to encourage book groups to read a book of poetry together. If your group chooses a book by one of the poets listed below, you can have her visit your book group to give a reading, answer questions, and host a literary salon. Join the first annual A Poet at Your Table season and receive an evening with an award-winning Seattle area poet each time your book group chooses to read a book by one of our writers. A poet will visit your book group to discuss the process of creating her book, read poems, and answer questions. We will design a presentation that best fits your needs. In addition, there is a 15% discount on tickets to the Seattle Arts and Lectures Poetry Series for book groups who choose to have A POET AT YOUR TABLE poet come visit.
