Berl's Brooklyn Poetry Shop Unveils Wonderful New Website
Brooklyn's only all-poetry bookshop, aptly called Berl's Brooklyn Poetry Shop, has just rolled out a BRAND-NEW WEBSITE! It is seriously attuned--as the shop itself, and its co-owners Farrah Field and Jared White, tend to be--to most everything being published and going on in the current indie, small-press, and chapbook-devoted poetry world(s). The Berl's site now features recordings and pictures from events, some spotlights on new books and chaps, as well as an easily navigable calendar. As goes the release:
With a much more navigable calendar of upcoming events, our new site offers a wealth of newly released audio and video recordings, photos and text from our archive of past readings in the shop, book recommendations and much more to explore. In conjunction with this new home on the web we're presenting a "poetry takeout" special this fall: a subscription service for monthly poetry care packages in the mail! Click here for more information.

At the end of September we'll also be participating in the Brooklyn Book Festival; the Book Fair is up the hill from us on Sunday 9/21 and a great reason to come to South Brooklyn. The following weekend, 9/25-9/27, the DUMBO Arts Festival will be taking over the neighborhood all weekend long! We're cooking up some fun poetry+arts in the shop to celebrate and will keep you posted.
We're very grateful to have Carolyn Newmark joining us in the shop this summer as our very dedicated assistant. Special thanks to her for making this new web site possible!
Check it all out at Berl's Dot Com. And don't forget--by the list of presses here, they probably have (or can track down) whatever you're hunting for. See you in DUMBO!
