Flavorwire Picks Favorite Forthcoming Poetry Books

 

Flavorwire gives us their most anticipated poetry books of 2015! Writer Jonathon Sturgeon smartly starts with the re-release of Mina Loy's poems, The Lost Lunar Baedeker, which has been out of print for 20 years and is due out from FSG this month. Says Sturgeon of the latter: "A major act of translation, this is the first full-length collection in English from a poet celebrated by Octavio Paz and Roberto Bolaño, among many others. Pained and, on occasion, ferocious, Pizarnik’s poems embody her own sentiment: 'I forced myself / kicking and screaming / into language.'"
