Lisa C. Moore of RedBone Press Crowned Lambda Literary's Publishing Professional of the Year

That's right, Lambda Literary has honored Lisa C. Moore, founder and editor of RedBone Press, with their Publishing Professional Award for 2016. RedBone has been publishing innovative work by writers of color since 1997. Lambda Board of Trustees member Amy Scholder announced that Moore's "commitment to LGBT authors of color has enriched the publishing landscape for nearly twenty years. Lambda’s Publishing Professional Award honors a distinguished individual in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community whose innovative work in the publishing industry promotes and promulgates LGBT literature.

RedBone Press has a record of publishing excellence since 1997, with a mission to publish literary books by LGBT authors of color. The books have been award-winning, and Moore has worked over many years with care and professionalism that is deserving of Lambda’s acknowledgment.

The Publishing Professional Award is selected by Lambda’s Board of Trustees.

“We at Lambda Literary are aware of the fact that the excellence we celebrate every year at the Lammys is made possible by the many publishing professionals who discover and nurture our LGBT books in the publishing process,” said Board of Trustee member Amy Scholder. “Lisa C. Lisa will be recognized as the winner of the Lambda Literary Publishing Professional Award at the 28th Annual Lambda Literary Awards ceremony on June 6th in New York City.
