Announcing a New Journal Out of CalArts, SUBLEVEL

Good news from Southern California: SUBLEVEL is the new online literary magazine from the CalArts MFA Writing Program. "SUBLEVEL is devoted to the nexus of literature, poetics, art, criticism, philosophy, culture, and politics. SUBLEVEL inherits and reflects the dynamism of contemporary Los Angeles as a hub of literature, art, and activism, while also stretching beyond our locality. In the works for the past few months, with editors Maggie Nelson and Janice Lee in partnership with Entropy and East of Borneo, the inaugural issue's theme is "contagion," and will be released in early 2017. Looks like they'll be accepting submissions for an open submission feature on the theme: “the history of touching.”
