Axel Kacoutié

Axel Kacoutié is an audio artist and poet who’s been crafting sound, music, and words to challenge the familiar and revive a magic in the mundane. Their work has featured on major broadcasting stations and podcasts, as well as a number of international awards and festivals, including the Third Coast International Audio Festival, Sarah Lawrence College International Audio Fiction Awards, and many more. Kacoutié recently collaborated with Falling Tree Productions as series curator and producer for Short Cuts, and they were the series composer, mixer, and sound designer for Empire City. They also directed their first audio drama with iHeart Podcasts and Overtones Media, Ecce Homo. Kacoutié is the sound designer for Wake, Butterfly.
