Jane Joritz-Nakagawa
Born in Harvey, Illinois, Jane Joritz-Nakagawa earned a BA in creative writing from Columbia College, Chicago and an MA in linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Joritz-Nakagawa (nee Joritz) is the author of the poetry books Skin Museum (2006), Aquiline (2007), EXHIBIT C (2008), The Meditations (2009), incidental music (2010), notational (2011), and FLUX (2013); as well as the e-book Invisible City (2012), numerous poetry chapbooks, and a poetry broadside.
Joritz-Nakagawa worked as associate professor at Aichi University of Education, a national teacher training institute in central Japan, where she taught courses in poetry, pedagogy, gender studies, and English. She lives in central Japan, dividing her time between Shizuoka city and Minami maki mura, Nagano.
