Paula Closson Buck is the author of the poetry collections The Acquiescent Villa (LSU Press, 1998), Litanies Near Water (LSU Press, 2008), and You Cannot Shoot a Poem (LSU Press, 2018), and the novel Summer on the Cold War Planet (Fomite, 2015). Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in AgniGettysburg Review, Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, Southern Review, and other magazines. She has received several individual artist grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and as a Fulbright scholar-poet in Cyprus in 2014, she collaborated on a project with two Cypriot visual artists. She served as editor of the literary magazine West Branch for 11 years. She is professor of English at Bucknell, where she has directed the Seminar for Younger Poets and the Creative Writing Program.
