Trish Reeves

Trish Reeves was born and raised in Missouri. She earned a BA in Journalism from the University of Missouri and an MFA from Warren Wilson College. She is the author of two poetry collections: Returning the Question (1988), which won the Cleveland State Poetry Center Prize, and In the Knees of Gods (2001). Her work has appeared in publications such as Ploughshares, the Ploughshares Poetry Reader, Seneca Review, Prairie Schooner, Women’s Review of Books, and New Letters.

Reeves has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Yaddo. A Kansas Humanities Scholar, she is the recipient of a Kansas Arts fellowship and is a former Kreck Fellow. Reeves has led the Changing Lives Through Literature seminars for Johnson County Corrections for 15 years and recently retired as professor of English and Creative Writing at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas to pursue writing full-time.
