Angel Dominguez

Angel Dominguez is a Latinx poet and artist of Yucatec Maya descent. They were born in Hollywood, California, and raised in Van Nuys by their immigrant family. They now live among the Santa Cruz Mountains in Bonny Doon. Dominguez is the author of Desgraciado (the collected letters) (Nightboat Books, 2022), RoseSunWater (The Operating System, 2021), and Black Lavender Milk (Timeless, Infinite Light, 2015). They are the 2023 University of Arizona Poetry Center summer writer-in-residence. Their works are available online and in print in publications that include BOMB Magazine, the Berkeley Poetry Review,FENCE, Prolit, SFMOMA Open Space, and elsewhere.
