Ava Kadishson Schieber

Poet and artist Ava Kadishson Schieber was born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, in 1926, and survived the Shoah in hiding. She and her mother emigrated to Israel in 1949, where she lived until 1985. She is the author of the multi-genre collections Present Past (2016), and Soundless Roar (2002). She lives in Chicago.
