emet ezell

emet ezell is a poet, community organizer, and song leader. Their chapbook, between every bird, our bones (Newfound, 2022), won the 2021 Gloria Anzaldúa Poetry Prize. They are also the author of the guidebook to Liberation Tarot (2024), a collaborative project from PM Press, and their work has been featured in Mizna and the Southern Humanities Review.

They received a 2022 Vermont Studio Center Fellowship. Originally from Texas, ezell divides their time between Berlin, Germany, and the American South. Ezell earned a BA in feminist studies from Southwestern University in 2018.
