Esther Lee is a poet, essayist, and letterpress fanatic. She is the author of Spit (2011), winner of theElixir Press Poetry Prize, and a chapbook, Blank Missives (Trafficker Press, 2007). Her writing, visual art, collaborations, and book arts projects have appeared in Ploughshares, Crazyhorse, Verse Daily, DIAGRAM, Hyphen, Born Magazine, Salt Hill, Lantern Review, Good Foot, Swink, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in creative writing from Indiana University, where she served as editor-in-chief for Indiana Review,and a PhD from the University of Utah. Her honors and awards include the a Kundiman fellowship, the Elinor Benedict Poetry Prize, Snowcroft Prose Prize, and Utah Writer’s Contest Award for Poetry selected by Brenda Shaughnessy, as well as three Pushcart Prize nominations.
