Lehua M. Taitano is a native Chamoru from the Pacific Island of Guahån (Guam). She is the author of Sonoma (Drop Leaf Press, 2016), A Bell Made of Stones (TinFish Press, 2013) and appalachiapacific (University of Montana Press, 2010), which won the  Merriam-Frontier Fiction Award.

She currently serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator on the Executive Board of the Thinking Its Presence: Race, Literary and Interdisciplinary Studies Conference.
