Writer, editor, and instructor Margot Douaihy earned her BA from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in writing from Goldsmith’s, University of London, and her PhD at Lancaster University. She is the author of the chapbook I Would Ruby If I Could (2013) and the full-length collection Girls Like You (2015), a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award, Scranton Lace (2018), and Bandit/Queen: The Runaway Story of Belle Starr (forthcoming, Spring 2022). Her multimodal work has been featured in Adirondack Review, Colorado Review, The Florida Review, North American Review, PBS NewsHour, Petrichor, Portland Review, South Carolina Review, The Wisconsin Review, Tahoma Literary Review, and elsewhere.
Douaihy has covered the technology industry as an editor, reporter, and analyst. She is the Editorial Director of NewBay Media’s AV Technology, EDUwire, and Tech Manager Today, and was a Judge for the PRSA Excellence in Technology Journalism Awards. Named to Collaborate’s 2014 “40 Under 40” List of Young Collaboration Innovators, Douaihy is also a member of the NEXT | VIDEO Conference Technology Advisory Board. She is a poetry board member of Philadelphia Stories and serves as a section editor of Journal of Creative Writing Studies.
