Writer, editor, and instructor Margot Douaihy earned her BA from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in writing from Goldsmith’s, University of London, and is currently a PhD candidate at Lancaster University. She is the author of the chapbook I Would Ruby If I Could (2013) and the full-length collection Girls Like You (2015), a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. She is a Poetry Board Member of Philadelphia Stories, and her work has been featured in journals and magazines such as The Madison Review, Mic, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Catamaran Literary Reader, The Common, and Belle Reve Literary Journal, among others.
Douaihy has covered the technology industry as an editor, reporter, and analyst. She is the Editorial Director of NewBay Media’s AV Technology, EDUwire, and Tech Manager Today, and was a Judge for the PRSA Excellence in Technology Journalism Awards. Named to Collaborate’s 2014 “40 Under 40” List of Young Collaboration Innovators, Douaihy is also a member of the NEXT | VIDEO Conference Technology Advisory Board.
