Shizuka Omori

Shizuka Omori was born in Okayama City, Japan, in 1989. She is the author of three tanka collections: Hectare (Bungei Shunju, 2022), which won the Tsukamoto Kunio Award, Camille (Shoshikankanbo, 2018), and Burning the Palm of a Hand (Kadokawa, 2013). Omori has received numerous awards. She lives in Kyoto and serves as an editor for Tō, a longstanding tanka journal.
